Ride Weekend Spectators

Spectators should make every effort to travel along alternative roads to keep the route as clear of cars as possible.

Spectators are an important part of the unique, inspiring experience of Pelotonia Ride Weekend. We appreciate everyone who comes out and cheers for the Riders!
Important driving directions are below for start and finish venues. Please review carefully and follow these instructions for Rider safety and a positive experience for everyone throughout Ride Weekend!
Check out the Event Handbook for additional Spectator Information.

Friday Opening Ceremony Venue
Saturday 20, 50 & 100-mile Start
218 West St, Columbus, OH 43215
Opening Ceremony on August 2: Due to several events happening in the Arena District on Friday night, all participants and guests should park in the Marconi or Front Street Garages accessible from the east. You can easily access these parking areas by traveling south on 3rd Street or north on 4th Street, turning west on Spring Street, then north on Front Street.
On Saturday morning, many garages surrounding McFerson Commons will be accessible to use if your rider is starting from Downtown Columbus. Please be aware that Spring Street and Long Street between Hocking Street and Marconi Blvd. will both be closed during Pelotonia Ride starts, with no vehicular access available.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co.

Saturday 20-mile Finish

Guests should avoid Kitzmiller Road and instead take US-62 (Johnstown Road) to Central College Road. This address is to the back entrance where spectator parking is located – please note that guests will not be permitted to enter Fitch Path from Smith’s Mill, as this entrance will be closed to vehicular traffic and accessible for cyclists only where riders will enter.

New Albany Schools

Saturday 65-mile Start & 50-Mile Finish
Sunday 30-Mile Start and 30 & 90-mile Finish
177 N. High St. New Albany OH 43054
Dublin-Granville Road between Fodor Road and Main Street will be closed during Pelotonia Ride Weekend. Guests should plan to access the finish venue from US-161 taking New Albany Condit Road to park in the Elementary School parking lots or taking New Albany Road to Fodor Road to park in the High School Parking Lots.

Kenyon College

Saturday 65 and 100-mile Finish
Sunday 90-mile Start
221 Duff St, Gambier, OH 43022
There will be significant road closures at State Routes 308 and 229. All spectators MUST approach guest parking near the Lowry Center by traveling westbound on 229.
We recommend guests take Route 62 to 229 to Kenyon College to avoid road closures and major traffic delays. Please take care when approaching guest parking on Kenyon’s campus as you may need to cross the route to access parking areas. Follow the direction of parking attendants at all times!

We invite you to join us to cheer on Riders crossing the finish lines at each location!

  • Feel free to bring your own signage, cowbells, and spirit along with you!
  • At each finish venue, there is a Spectator Experience tent complete with sign-making materials, cowbells, sunscreen, drinks, and snacks for you to enjoy. Volunteers will also be staffed to answer any questions you may have about the finish celebration.

We invite you to join us to cheer on Riders crossing the finish lines at each location!

Spectator Do's and Don'ts

  • Check out these Pelotonia-recommended places to spectate – keep in mind that you should always access spectator areas without crossing the Rider routes. Refer to Rider maps to plan your route!

  • Do not stop along the routes to cheer on your rider, including rest stops, other than at Pelotonia recommended locations. Due to rider safety, we only encourage riders to pull to the side of the road if they need medical or mechanical assistance.
