Ride Weekend 131-Mile Route

This challenging two-day option includes a New Albany to Gambier 66-mile route on Saturday and a 65-mile Gambier to New Albany return route on Sunday. 

Your Weekend Timeline

Follow this simple guide for all the important dates and times during Ride Weekend!

Opening Ceremony (Friday, July 31)

  • 11:30am-8:00pm: Rider check-in and gift distribution, first aid services, bike storage and maintenance, bag drop-off, and merch sales
  • 4:00pm: Gates open
  • 4:00-8:00pm: Dinner buffet, beverages, and Partner Expo
  • 6:30-7:00pm: Stage program
  • 7:00-8:00pm: Headliner performance by Andrew McMahon

Your Ride (Saturday, August 1 - Sunday, August 2)

DAY ONE: 66-mile route

  • 6:30am:  opens to provide first aid services, bike maintenance, bag drop-off, and breakfast.
  • 8:00am: All 66-mile Riders will start from New Albany Schools. Please plan to arrive between 6:30 – 7:00am.
  • 6:00pm: 66-mile route closes.
  • 7:00pm: 66-mile Finish Line Celebration at  closes.

DAY TWO: 65-mile route

  • 5:30am: Kenyon College opens to provide first aid services, bike maintenance, bag drop-off, and breakfast.
  • 6:45am: All 65-mile Riders begin to stage.
  • 7:00am: All 65-mile Riders depart.
  • 2:00pm: 65-mile route closes.
  • 3:00pm: 65-mile Finish Line Celebration at New Albany Schools closes.
  • 4:00pm: Bike Corral at  closes.

North Bank Park and McFerson Commons (218 West St, Columbus, OH 43215)

  • 11:30am-8:00pm: Rider check-in and gift distribution, first aid services, bike storage and maintenance, bag drop-off, and merch sales

All Riders should come to McFerson Commons to check-in and pick up their Rider Credential Packet.  
  • On Friday morning, July 31, you will receive a text message with important information you need to check in. Please have this text and your photo ID ready at the Rider Check-In tent. 
  • If you do not receive a text message, don’t worry! Go to the Check-In tent when you arrive and a Volunteer will help you.   
  • High Rollers should check in at the High Roller tent near the entrance to McFerson Commons. 
  • If you are unable to check in and receive your Rider credentials on Friday evening, you may pick up your credentials on Saturday morning at New Albany Schools. Please be sure to arrive on site by 7:00am to allow ample time to pick up your credentials. 
  • If utilizing Ride Day check-in, please email to coordinate pick up of your Rider gift at Pelotonia HQ following Ride Weekend. 
  • Please note: 131-Mile Riders can NOT drop their bike at the McFerson Commons bike corral on Friday, as bikes will not be transported to the New Albany start. All Riders will need to bring their bike with them to New Albany on Saturday morning. 
Ride Weekend Riders and a guest may attend. High Rollers who commit to raise at least $5,000 may invite an additional two guests.
Entrance wristbands will be included in each Rider credential packet.
Be sure to bring a valid photo ID along if you’d like to enjoy adult beverages!
Please be patient and plan to allow extra time for traffic and parking!
Use our Ride Weekend parking pass to access free parking in the noted Arena District garages by scanning the QR code upon entry and exit to these garages. If you choose to park in a different lot or garage, you are responsible for all necessary payment and adhering to all restrictions.
Please be aware that Spring Street and Long Street between Hocking Street and Marconi Boulevard will be closed, with no vehicular access available. Additionally, availability in the Marconi, McConnell and Neil Avenue Garages may be limited during the day, so consider utilizing the Front Street Garage, easily accessible from the east by traveling south on 3rd Street or north on 4th Street, turning west on Spring Street, then north on Front Street.
Please note: Most parking garage entrances do not have the vertical clearance to accommodate bicycles mounted on roof racks, so please plan accordingly.

  • This route has a few punchy climbs that will test your fitness and determination, and add to the fun of the weekend. Make sure you’re building up for that as you train.
  • Before Ride Weekend, please review all Safety & Training ResourcesRemember, you are responsible for knowing and following the Rules of the Road!
  • All Riders should know how to change their tire and be prepared with the needed parts and tools to do so. Check out our Safety & Training Resources to prepare yourself!
  • Helmets are required and must be worn at all times while riding.
  • If you need support for any reason from SAG (Support and Gear) vehicles, Volunteers, or Pelotonia staff during Ride Weekend, please call or text 1-855-889-RIDE (7433).

Saturday 66-mile Riders will start from on Saturday at 8:00am
  • Announcements will be made calling Riders into the holding area 15 minutes before their scheduled start time. 
All 66-mile Riders should plan to arrive to New Albany Schools between 6:30am and 7:00am. Allow yourself ample time for parking and breakfast, as well as use of first aid and mechanical services if needed. 
All Riders must start the ride at the official start location. Law enforcement and support vehicles will be timed with the Riders who participate in the organized start. 
  • Your cooperation is key to making the start of Pelotonia safe and enjoyable for everyone. If you do not leave with the organized start to which you are assigned, you will be proceeding at your own risk. 
  • Please do not put yourself and your fellow Riders in danger by violating these rules. Thank you in advance for your cooperation! 
There will be rest stops along the route approximately every 10–20 miles. The lunch rest stop on Saturday is located at Granville Middle School. Drinks, food, mechanical support, and first aid assistance will be available.
Family and friends are not permitted at any Pelotonia rest stops to ensure Rider safety.
It is critically important to avoid dehydration by drinking water and sports drinks throughout your ride.
  • Bring at least one water bottle with you.
  • Do not rely on thirst to guide your hydration, because thirst kicks in only after you are already becoming dehydrated.

All Pelotonia routes will close at 6:00pm on Saturday, August 1, and at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 2, to ensure the safety of all participants. Pelotonia may choose to advance Riders via shuttles and/or SAG vehicles if they are not on pace to reach their designated finish by the route closure time or in the event of inclement weather.

Enjoy food, drinks, and celebrating your ride at the 66-mile Finish Line Celebration, which will take place at Kenyon College. Showers will be available at the finish, so please be sure to bring shower supplies and a towel if you plan to utilize this.
Family and friends are welcome to join you at the Finish Line Celebration! Family and friends must follow the signage and instructions from law enforcement officers and Volunteers, and watch for Riders no matter where they are on the property.

All spectators must approach guest parking near the Lowry Center from 229. Please take care when approaching guest parking on Kenyon’s campus as you may need to cross the route to access parking areas. Follow the direction of parking attendants at all times!

  • Overnight bag drop-off is available near the dorms or at Kenyon College’s Lowry Center. Do not leave your bag in your dorm room.
  • Sunday breakfast will be served from 5:30-6:30am at Kenyon College’s Lowry Center.
  • Overnight Riders should bring dorm keys to Kenyon College’s Lowry Center for check-out on Sunday morning. Do not leave keys in your dorm room.
  • All return 65-mile Riders must be ready to stage for the Sunday ride at 6:45am to leave promptly at 7:00am.
If you do not leave with the organized start at 7:00am, you will be proceeding at your own risk as law enforcement and support vehicles will be timed with the Riders who participate in the organized start.
Enjoy food, drinks, and celebrating your ride at the 131-mile Finish Line Celebration, which will take place at New Albany Schools. A shower trailer will be available at the finish, so please be sure to bring shower supplies and a towel if you plan to utilize this.
Family and friends are welcome to join you at the Finish Line Celebration! Family and friends must follow the signage and instructions from law enforcement officers and Volunteers, and watch for Riders no matter where they are on the property.
All spectator traffic arriving at the New Albany Schools finish should plan to park in the off-site shuttle lot at 6500 New Albany Road East, and must enter the property from New Albany Road East.
Guests should avoid driving on 605 (New Albany Condit Road/High Street) for the safety of all Riders.
If you will be using Pelotonia bike trucks to transport your bike back to McFerson Commons, please deliver your bike to the Volunteers at the bike trucks as soon as you arrive at New Albany Schools on Sunday.
  • Remove all personal belongings from your bike before it is loaded onto the bike truck.
  • If you are using Pelotonia’s bike transportation, download the Pelotonia Tracker app and search for your name under the “Bike Transport” event to receive push notifications when your bike has departed the finish venue and when it is available for pick-up back at your start venue.
  • Rider shuttles and bike trucks will transport from the 131-mile Finish Line at New Albany Schools to McFerson Commons only.
  • Bike trucks will continue loading until full, then depart for their destinations.

Please note: The Ride Weekend routes are only supported during the official event weekend. Riding them at any other time is at your own risk. All rides, including during Ride Weekend, should practice Rules of the Road.
