We’ve incorporated important additions to the Ride Weekend experience to support nursing parents participating as Riders, Volunteers, or spectators. Now offering:
Lactation areas at Opening Ceremony, as well as each start and finish venue for Riders, Volunteers and Spectators to breastfeed or pump in a private, comfortable space
Breast pump transportation for Riders from their start venue to finish venue (pre-registration available here).
Please note: Only breast pump equipment will be transported. No milk will be stored or transported. Riders will also need to provide their own pump; Pelotonia will not be providing any pumps.
On-site use of lactation areas does not require any pre-registration. Pump transportation does require pre-registration via the online request form available here.
Private spaces for pumping and breastfeeding at Opening Ceremony, as well as each start and finish venue include:
- Tent with walls, or private indoor space at Kenyon College and New Albany Schools
- Tables, chairs, fans, and power
- Water and snacks
- Hand sanitizer, hand washing station, and breast pump sanitizing wipes

Pelotonia hopes to ease the logistical burden on nursing parents riding in Pelotonia by transporting pumps from the Rider’s start venue to finish venue.
Pumps will be transported from the First Aid station at the start line to the First Aid station at the finish line.
Pumps will be tagged with name, cell phone number, and route. They will also be tagged with an Apple AirTag and monitored by Pelotonia staff to ensure accurate delivery.
If you would like to use the pump transportation service, please fill out the pre-registration form in advance of Ride Weekend to ensure we can plan efficiently. Please sign up by July 25.
