Ride Weekend Don'ts
DON’T try to access rest stops. In the interest of safety, these are for participants, Volunteers, and safety staff only. Participants are only encouraged to pull to the side of the road if they need medical or mechanical assistance.
DON’T try to meet your participant along the route at any time. This can be a safety issue for everyone. Only registered participants will be permitted onto the routes and trail.
Recommended Spectator Locations
Cheer on your 23-, 46-, and 100-mile Riders as they travel downtown at the Broad Street Methodist Church Spectator experience. Join fellow Spectators for this fun cheering location, which will include a DJ for music and energy!
Cheer on your 66- and 100-mile Riders from downtown Granville!
Ride Weekend Rider Drop-Off & Pick-Up
From directions to finish locations, find everything you need to spectate safely and confidently.
Spectators should make every effort to avoid the Pelotonia routes and travel along alternative roads to keep cyclists as clear of cars as possible.
Look for areas marked “Guest Parking” when you arrive.
McFerson Commons is the starting location for the 17-, 23-, 46-, and 100-mile routes, and finish location for the 17-mile route.
- Friday, July 31 (Opening Ceremony):
- Many garages surrounding North Bank Park and McFerson Commons will be accessible to use if you are attending Opening Ceremony as the guest of a participant. Please be aware that Spring Street and Long Street between Hocking Street and Marconi Boulevard will both be closed during Opening Ceremony, with no vehicular access available.
- Availability in the Marconi, McConnell and Neil Avenue Garages may be limited during the day, so consider utilizing the Front Street Garage, easily accessible from the east by traveling south on 3rd Street or north on 4th Street, turning west on Spring Street, then north on Front Street.
- Saturday, August 1:
- Many garages surrounding North Bank Park and McFerson Commons will be accessible to use if your Rider is starting from Downtown Columbus. Please be aware that Spring Street and Long Street between Hocking Street and Marconi Boulevard will both be closed during Pelotonia Ride starts, and the 17-mile finish celebration, with no vehicular access available.
- For those riding the 17-mile route, we anticipate that most Riders will arrive to North Bank Park between 9:15am and 12:30pm.
Please be patient and plan to allow extra time for traffic and parking!
New Albany Schools is the starting location for the 66- and 27-mile routes, and finish location for the 23-, 27-, and 65-mile routes.
Important Information: All spectators should access the finish venue by traveling north from 161 toward off-site parking. Continuous shuttles will be available between offsite parking and finish celebration.
Off-site Parking Address: 6500 New Albany Road East, New Albany, Ohio 43054
ADA Parking only: 6443 New Albany-Condit Road, New Albany, Ohio 43054
We anticipate that most Riders will arrive to New Albany Schools at the following times:
- 23-mile Riders could finish between 8:30am and 12:00pm
- 27-mile loop Riders could finish between 9:30am and 12:00pm
- 65-mile return Riders could finish between 9:30am and 1:45pm
Please be patient and plan to allow extra time for traffic and parking!
Kenyon College is the starting location for the 65-mile routes, and finish location for the 66-, and 100-mile routes.
Important Information: All Kenyon spectators MUST approach guest parking near the Lowry Center from 229. Please take care when approaching guest parking on Kenyon’s campus as you may need to cross the route to access parking areas. Follow the direction of parking attendants at all times!
Offsite Parking Address: 291 Athletics Lane, Gambier, Ohio 43022
We anticipate that most Riders will arrive to Kenyon College at the following times:
- 66-mile Riders could finish between 10:30am and 4:00pm
- 100-mile Riders could finish between 11:00am and 6:00pm
Please be patient and plan to allow extra time for traffic and parking!
Abercrombie is the finish location for the 46-mile route.
Important Information: Spectators should plan to park in off-site parking at AEP Ohio, 8400 Smith’s Mill Road, New Albany, Ohio 43054. Continuous shuttles will run between the finish venue and the off-site parking throughout the day. Very limited spectator parking will be available on-site, but if accessible parking is needed, spectators should avoid Kitzmiller Road and instead take US-62 (Johnstown Road) to Central College Road to enter at 7907 Central College Road, New Albany, Ohio 43054. This address is to the back entrance of Abercrombie & Fitch Co. – please note that guests will not be permitted to enter Fitch Path from Smith’s Mill, as this entrance will be closed to vehicular traffic and accessible for cyclists only.
Offsite Parking Address: AEP Ohio 8400 Smith’s Mill Road. New Albany, Ohio 43054
Please note: Due to construction in the area, guests will still have a short and scenic walk through Abercrombie’s campus to the finish line celebration. Any guests with limited mobility should use the Central College address for accessible parking.

We anticipate that most 46-mile Riders will arrive to Abercrombie & Fitch between 8:45am and 1:30pm.
Please be patient and plan to allow extra time for traffic and parking!
We invite you to join us to cheer on Riders crossing the finish lines at each location! Feel free to bring your own signage, cowbells, and spirit along with you!
At each finish venue, there is a Spectator Experience tent complete with sign-making materials, cowbells, sunscreen, drinks, and snacks for you to enjoy. Volunteers will also be staffed to answer any questions you may have about the finish celebration.
