COLUMBUS, OH – February 18, 2020 – Pelotonia will open registration for 2020 Ride Weekend this Thursday, February 20 at noon, opening the doors for a life-changing experience. Pelotonia Ride Weekend will take place August 7th – 9th, 2020, and anyone interested in participating in a weekend of cycling, entertainment and volunteerism can register at Pelotonia.org/register.
Pelotonia celebrates its twelfth ride with a new “Be Legendary” campaign celebrating the selfless and inspiring acts of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Pelotonia looks to expand its community and ability to drive innovative cancer research by showcasing that anyone can be a legend. The campaign will honor the heroic efforts of Riders, Volunteers, Virtual Riders, Researchers and Survivors alike in the name of inspiring newcomers to get involved and contribute to the movement.
“Our registration kickoff is the start of a 2020 rallying cry for Riders, Volunteers, Virtual Riders and Partners to push to new heights,” said Doug Ulman, Pelotonia President and CEO. “The Pelotonia community is full of everyday legends who believe hard work and collaboration result in great things, like ending cancer. We’re excited to celebrate them throughout the year and help thousands of new Riders, Virtual Riders and Volunteers start their own legend.”
Pelotonia will celebrate registration kickoff with an open-to-the-public party at PINS Mechanical Co. on Friday, February 21st from 4 – 8 p.m. The community is invited to come and enjoy free pizza and duckpin bowling, browse new 2020 merchandise and launch another incredible year of fundraising.
