By The Pelotonia Team|September 16, 2020

COLUMBUS, OH – September 16, 2020 – Pelotonia is pleased to welcome Victor Crawford, chief executive officer of the Pharmaceutical segment at Cardinal Health, to the Pelotonia leadership board. Crawford will join the board for his first meeting later this month.
“I’m humbled to welcome Victor to our Board as he brings an inspiring combination of professional healthcare insight, personal cancer survivorship, and a commitment to social justice,” said Doug Ulman, Pelotonia president and CEO. “His leadership, and more importantly his passion, will only propel us forward in our mission to build community and advance cancer research.”
Crawford brings a wide range of healthcare leadership, experience and insight to Pelotonia’s efforts to fund innovative cancer research, having served as chief operating officer for Healthcare, Education and Business Dining at Aramark prior to his time at Cardinal Health. He was recently named one of 2020’s Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America by Savoy for his elite representation of executive and business leadership and passion for equality and racial justice. As a cancer survivor, Crawford has a unique connection to Pelotonia’s research-funded mission and will represent the many survivors within Pelotonia’s legendary community.
“On behalf of the entire Pelotonia Board, we are thrilled to welcome Victor to this important role,” said Julie Sloat, Pelotonia board member and senior vice president – Treasury & Risk, American Electric Power. “His leadership experience and perspective as a cancer survivor will add tremendously to Pelotonia’s mission.”
Cardinal Health has been a funding partner of Pelotonia since 2010, and recently eclipsed $3 million in funds raised for Pelotonia since the start of the partnership. Their peloton is an inspiring and regular force in Pelotonia’s annual three-day ride weekend, embodying the spirit of a community uniting for One Goal.
“I can’t think of a more passionate, experienced leader than Victor,” said Mike Kaufmann, chief executive officer of Cardinal Health. “His thoughtful approach and love for the betterment of the community make him a perfect fit for a progressive, results oriented partner like Pelotonia. I look forward to seeing how Victor can reimagine the ways Cardinal Health and Pelotonia move forward together.”
