My family life was vastly altered by cancer at a fairly young age, so I appreciate not only what damage the disease can do, but also the importance of quality medical care to both patients and families. As someone who's been blessed with health, I'm happy to participate in this inaugural event and to do my small part. I know that others have a much longer and tougher road fighting this disease than we'll have on the way to Athens, but let's now do what we can to try and ease the way.
