I hate cancer.
It can affect anyone. Male or female; young or old; couch potato or fitness fanatic... cancer doesn't discriminate. No one is safe from cancer. I want to see it defeated and destroyed.
I have seen cancer wreak havoc on family and friends, and have witnessed firsthand the courage it takes to fight this disease. This ride is especially personal for my wife and I as Laura's Mom, Patti, was treated at The James during her fight against cancer. Patti lost her battle on October 14, 2009, surviving a full 14 months longer than her doctors originally predicted. Her extended survival time was due in no small part to the excellent level of care that her doctors at The James provided.
See our
Peloton page and my wife,
Laura's page to see how cancer has affected our family.
Having participated in the inaugural Pelotonia event last year, I am excited to once again ride in an effort to help others and to take action to fight cancer.
Today's research leads to tomorrow's treatments and cures. This is for all of us!
Please donate to my ride and to The James! Thank you!!!!
