A bit about me: I moved to Columbus a little over a year ago with my wife, Christina Austin, who is attending grad school in Genetics at OSU and is who also riding in Pelotonia. I recently completed my PhD in American History, am an avid rock climber, and since moving to Columbus I have really been getting into cycling as well.
For those of you who are not familiar with Pelotonia, all donations to my ride (and all other rides) will go directly to the James Cancer Hospital at Ohio State University. Although I have been fortunate enough so far to have been relatively unaffected by cancer in my immediate family, Christina's family has had all too much experience with it, and several years ago she lost her grandmother to lung cancer. For both this personal connection, and the fact that Christina's graduate studies will contribute to cancer research, I am very excited to be riding for this cause.
I am riding for the lab of Dr. Maki Asano, in the department of Molecular Genetics at OSU. Thanks for checking out my profile, and thanks in advance for your donations!
